ancient | spirit guardian | agender | pansexual | forest guardian a p p e a r a n c e Behemoth has never appeared human in his existence. He doesn't feel the need to, and simply retains the form he was born into. While he can in fact change into a fully animal form, that of a horrifically large buck, his humanoid form is mostly covered in soft fur. His bottom half is deer-like bearing hooves instead of feet, and his hands are clawed. He has numerous horns extending from his head and a pretty face with long black hair, and a dark piercing gaze. p e r s o n a l i t y Behemoth is mostly a gentle figure. He doesn't believe in violence on others unless it's self defense, and enjoys taking life one step at a time. Considering time to him is not linear, and a mere concept, he can often be found staring into the distance for years at a time. He's incredibly patient, though with his deep soothing voice he's also very convincing. However he's very much like the old man he is. Hardly leaving the forest he's terribly out of touch with any type of technology that's been developed since.....well since he first came to be. He can't read or write, because he simply doesn't need to, and he doesn't understand fashion trends at all either. He does appreciate the aesthetics though. One of his worse habits is kidnapping anyone who ends up appealing to his eye sadly, and it's very hard to persuade him otherwise with his.....insatiable appetite. h i s t o r y Behemoth was born out of need for order in a time of chaos. Suddenly coming into existence from the oldest tree of the forest, he took his commanding post with grace. Back in the times where humans and spirits lived side by side he was often sought out for wisdom, and given offerings for good harvests. He was amused by these humans who didn't seem to understand he didn't control such trivial things. Still they were pretty to look at, and he had some needs of his own. Which is how the ancient forest became such a dark and spooky place. Soon, people in the nearby towns started to go missing. The forest seemed to rapidly grow, trees forming a canopy overhead and people getting turned around after only a few feet in. Behemoth began to collect pretty humans who caught his eye, gender didn't matter to him. He kept them close and treasured them, and listened to the whispers on the wind that the humans made. All good things must come to an end however, and his peaceful existence was threatened. Men came, men came and began to cut down his trees and clear out his land. Upset by the continual shrinking of his lands, and the direct disregard the men had to his spirits, he fought back in slow increments. He grew foliage over their machines, haunted their camps, and stole the handsome faced men who wandered off. After a few years the forest was deemed cursed, and the men retreated. Behemoth was happy, but not content being so far away from the humans he so liked to watch. So he agreed, just for once, to allow the humans to once again build a town that he could watch from afar.
