185 | spirit (ocean/water) | female | demisexual | photographer a p p e a r a n c e Appearing as a human, Marina stands at 5'5" feet with a thin build and fair skin. Her most vibrant feature is probably her wavy tresses of surf teal that fall around her shoulders. Some hair hands around her forehead, however it parts in the middle. Her cat-like eyes are a shade darker, leaning towards blue than green. She exudes elegance as she makes sure to take care of her appearance; she has a tendency to opt towards feminine clothing such as tank tops, skirts, dresses, and such. Clothing with sea themes or blues are well-liked. Accessories such as jewelry with these themes are common as well. As a semi-human, she looks as her human form with the hair, height, and build. Water drips from her being; from her hair, skin, etc. leaving a trail if sge moves in this form. Her skin has a slight pale blue shine to it on her shoulders, thighs, like scales and webbing in-between her fingers. It can be compared to a mermaid due to the aquatic features she gains. in her spirit form, Marina loses her human appearance completely aside from her humanoid shape. All features look completely made out of translucent water like she is composed on it. Her eyes have a pale glow to them. Marina's powers as a water spirit are very plain, as all it is is basic water manipulation. Nothing very powerful or fancy. p e r s o n a l i t y + Collected, faithful, mature, passionate, thoughtful - Bitter, icy, emotional, silver tongued, vindictive Marina is a quiet person, opting to keep to herself rather than socializing with whoever. She has an aura of sophisticated, something that can easily charming yet intimidating. Always poised, her actions have grace to them and her words are polite for the most part. Though it can go to the point of where she's made out of ice If one were to ever get her to warm up to them they'll find a more caring amd gentle person. She doesn't vocalize it much but she's uplifting her special ones from her actions or small compliments. You'll find that she's reliable, always there and an open shoulder. She also carries grudges of her friends it seems and gets protective of them easily. h i s t o r y Ever since the first group of humans, she live around the land. From the practices of the original Seaside settlers, the energy caused her birth -- a measly water spirit. The spirit did not have a name nor had any idea what to do, all she knew was that she was here. As such, the spirit found herself floating around the coast of the town, away from the humans. Eventually a purpose was found, one that took caring for the sea creatures within the waters of Seaside. A peaceful existence but rather boring for a spirit -- a being that could live forever. Years past yet still she remained away from civilization. As more and more spirits gained influence in Seaside, the water spirit found herself growing more and more curiouser of the humans. Closer she found herself observing them from the beaches and copying their appearance, though her inexperience in socializing kept her from approaching any. But humans always found a way to meddle with things. This human was a young man -- she found him always visiting the beaches. He approached her one day, starting a conversation about, oddly, photographs. Everyday he would see her and ramble to her. It didn't matter if she didn't say anything at all, the two would just sit on the sand as he talked. Soon she found herself talking as well, though it was about how she wasn't very sure what to call herself (Everybody seem to have a name except for her). Thus he called her "Marina". She found herself attached to him after that. Blinded by her sudden feelings, Marina soon saw herself everywhere with the man. She didn't care about her duties anymore, and despite the possible consequences of a spirit like herself becoming involved with a human she decided to become somebody close to him. And so, she did. Everything was a blur with him and she loved this new vigor and warmth she felt with him. It was something that she never felt in her life. She knew she wanted this feeling to stay forever and ever -- as long as it could and no matter what it took! However her feelings weren't necessarily returned. As months went by Marina saw him less and less. It was an empty time for her and it hurt for a day to pass without seeing him. Next time she saw him however, there was somebody else by his self -- a beautiful human female. Marina couldn't understand the sight nor the feelings she felt from seeing it. Though she could understand that she was abandoned.... or so she understood later once she tried to keep in contact with him. It was on the Paradise Point, the spirit confront him about the other girl and their relationship. The discussion turned into an argument, the argument turn into something a bit dark. Frustrated with everything, he pushed Marina as she stood near the edge of the point making her fall. Luckily she wasn't human, so it didn't physically kill her but... it got the message across pretty well. So terribly well. Since then the teal-haired young woman has lost contact with the human and became more hardened towards the world. She sure isn't terribly fond of humans but it doesn't mean she instantly hates all of them (it would be hard, since they seem to be everywhere now thanks to Seaside). To camouflage herself away she finally resides in a shabby apartment, making a small living off of photography and little ocean themed knickknacks. "sinking deep into the sea, i close my eyes." |
